rBlock is a communication network for residents.

The network enables you to stay abreast of crimes that have just occurred, prepare for any kind of emergency, help your city identify and solve problems, find the best products, services and deliveries, and obtain or offer rides. In short, you will immediately start to draw from and contribute to a more livable community.

To use this app, you must first join rBlock, which is currently available to residents in Berkeley, Emeryville and Palo Alto, California. This app has less functionality than the platform, but it keeps you in touch while you’re on the move, and it adds map-based information based on your current location.
